New to camping - ideas
Ok maybe a daft question .....
SWMBO has a best mate who is camp manager of a few sites in France ....
Mates rates being negotiated ....
Now with 4 kids 17,13,3 and 18 months .... camping with the D3 maybe an option to actually get abroad for once ...
Looked up Oz tents and the like on here and on 'tinternet' .....
Am I being daft or would with petrol and transfer to France and cost of kit make it too much ...
Holidays in UK are starting to be out of our range as well so thought I would some research ..... thanks
A two man oz tent is £250 but the with the floor and extras even that creeps up ..... S Smith had some things for sale but that was £1500
Can you rent this kinda stuff D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

Might be best to think of one of those mega tunnel type tents, even a 5 man oz tent will be too small and much more expensive. Will dig out a pic of what I'm thinking about.
This sort of thing, just an example. January sales coming up.

If you dont want the hassle of erecting etc.etc. Why not take a look at something like this:
Must admit NOT done myself, however it has good reviews. Ime sure there would be alot more if searched.

+1 for twin axle caravan - got a nice Outwell Montana Six, but it never gets a look in now we've got the tintent, that said wouldn't want to let the Outwell go in case the kids want to use it sometime.
Buy a big tunnel tent and enjoy.......then end up buying a caravan a couple of years later

Always go for the biggest tent you can justify. We have a Kalihari-10 for 5 of us. Having additional living space is so much nicer, especially if the weather is wet - it keeps it as holiday experience rather than an endurance competition A shapely pair of legs is one thing but a nice bum is not to be sniffed at.

We used to have some great family holidays with Eurocamp. Just take yourselves and its all set up for you. Its not the cheapest way of camping, but its the most convenient.
