Are they not noisier? I upgraded to cross-drilled and grooved discs with fast-road pads and SS hoses on my 156 and they had a definite "grind" when applied. Stood the car on it's nose though, compared to the OE brakes.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Wiggs :
Did you go for the V8 discs ?
I will fit the V8 discs on my TDV6 next time - only thing I have to change is the bracquet for the calipers - Disc Ø is about 20 mm bigger - hence more braking power.....
Cool. Cheers Wiggs I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I also went for the cross drilled and grooved discs from Vanquish. I said I didn't want the sensors as had already picked up some OE ones and he did me a reasonable discount.
Had a hint of squeal from them for the first 100 odd miles but now they are bedded no extra noise at all.
They do look 8)

My Alfa 156 used to scare the hell out of me with the OE brakes. It felt like it was not going to stop . It was the only thing I didn't like on the car.

I guess not being able to stop would be quite an understandable thing not to like I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
