New Bong ! ( Air Bag Fault )

I've had a quick search.... but can not find a similar post., So, Have I a Milestone post ??

The red light for SRS Airbag comes on after about 5 mins of driving. Its booked into the dealers in the next available slot

( June .. , and they advised not to drive the car ??? , after advising I contact LRA , who said they don't do Airbag faults .., so back to the dealer )

Also, while I'm here .. anyone else with S seats noticing they are starting to ware badly around the bit on the edge that gets most ware when getting in and out ??
..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

I have just had my cruise control problem sorted which required a new 'contact ring'? behind the steering wheel. Since then I have had two red warnings for the air bag, each time they reset after turning off the ignition. Must admit to being a little worried that it might suddenly explode! I will have to take it back to dealer for a look.

I had one day, shortly after Xmas, when the SRS warning light kept coming up. Turning off the ignition would get rid of it, but then it would come back up after a couple of minutes. This happened about 5 or 6 times. Next day it was fine again, and was until this Monday when it happened again once...

Does make you wonder if its going to go off Shocked - although I suspect the opposite is probably more likely. Rolling Eyes

It may not be an air-bag at all, seat belt pre-tensioners and other safety components are all part of the same 'gubbins' and no-doubt linked into the same warning light

Just to make you feel happier if the SRS light comes on it means the SRS system wont work ie no airbags etc. However more have gone off without warning at all Shocked I hate the things.
