Very Nice! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Just a thought but could you not collect the D4 with the existing plates then get the dealer to arrange the private transfer thus getting new toy quicker?

Thats what I did, car went back a week later for plates and new windscreen which was smashed on the PDI drive, old plates also kept. Make sure they notify LRA of the private plate change/number, my dealer did not Whistle

Would that cause problems if LRA were not notified of plate change and I needed their services Question

As for DVLA, I can wait, it only takes about a week up here and it just adds to the excitment Very Happy

When you sell it you will be issued a new "60" number by DVLA once you transfer your private number off it - you won't get the original number again so you may as well throw those plates away!

Not true! Every time (bar one) when taken a private plate off a car it's ended up with the original back on. Sold SWMBO's car last month and it was reassigned it's original plate. Whistle

Strange, when ever i've taken off a private plate the DVLA always reallocated the original plate no. - have things changed?

OP: Nice car by the way!

Don't know the exact year things changed, but my T plate Disco did not get it's original plate back when I took my private plate off but every Disco I have owned since 2002 have got their original number back - makes things a lot easier.

Dave your new D4 looks v. nice Thumbs Up

Lovely looking car! I had to wait a while for mine too, just keep reading the brochure! Good Autocar review in the snow against the landcruiser on YouTube!
