btw your new to you D3 looks neat. I think my 2006 D3 looks much better at 12 yrs old than my 51 plate BMW did when I sold it in 2012. Not just the overall classic design and proportions, but the bodywork on the BMW was pish, every wheel arch was rotting.

Thanks. My BMW is (as it's not sold yet!) a 2002 525d and I'll be sad to see it go after 6 years. It is pretty mint and had loads of mods after starting life as a base spec SE.

Ended up converting to a sport and fitting electric memory M5 interior but we needed more space and my son needed more light to stop his nausea.

After driving the Disco today I have noticed a couple of niggles.

The cruise control turns itself off at random
The PDC turns itself on at random

Any pointers much appreciated!

Would be good to get your faults read and cleared to give you an idea of any current issues and may help to point in the right direction of the root of some of the faults. Most parking system problems are caused by either faulty sensors which are cheap to replace or the wiring has rubbed against the bodywork and is shorting. Often you get an annoying period when they work when they feel like it before they fail completely

So the work begins. Can't believe how easy this one was! I got myself a Beanie D4 grille and fitted it.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Soon after i changed my grille I removed the Orange panel from the headlamps

Then a fridge,

Then the wheels

(although the puncture wasnt part of the plan Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter )
Then Rear Lights

Then wheels again

Then the wheels again

currently in my garage is a new front end and 2014.5 AFS front headlamps grille and a new rear bumper - as you can see once you start it gets to be a bit like the painting of the Forth Rail Bridge

That looks bloody brilliant.

I cannot wait to get more done to the car but I've got to visit Geoff in May and hes going to give the car a once over and flush the gearbox for me - it could be a very big bill if the oil pump has not been changed.

That being said I'm planning on

Painting all the plastic bits black
Removing the orange from the headlights
Fitting a fridge
Bluetooth Audio streaming (African outdoor unit is the only one I can see for now that works)
Black LED rear lights

That should be enough to double the purchase price!

Did you ever get the tow bar off BTW as the thieving B'Stards will have it off in 2 minutes if you are not careful

Also make sure you get and RLD protector for the Spare wheel or they will take that at the same time and as they break the winch for the wheel when they do it it is a very expensive exercise to put right!

I've soaked the towbar in WD40 in the hope that something will give over the weekend. It is properly stuck!

What is the spare wheel protector you are referring to?

Just leave your car in Blue Water shopping centre, or Thurrock, go have a cup of coffee and it's virtually guaranteed that it won't be stuck when you get back. Whistle Whistle

Re cubby fridge, absatidellingtootlie! One of the best mods out. I use mine year round and leave it well stocked with Coke Zero. And I can report that they don't freeze at -8.something c. Whistle

We dont tell the exact process to remove it because then its easy for someone to google how to take them.

You need to buy a replacement lock for the unit, then it will be very obvious how the removal process can be done

I've got a key which turns in the lock but I can't release the green collar bit. I'll try again tomorrow

If the lock turns are you able to rotate the green handle and pull it as you twist it?
