Hi Dubbs,
My calculation was as follows:
There is five wvlenthes of different genders and sizes. No family hotelroom, I need two.
Appartment for a vacation is likely to cost over 2000 euro per week as we need three bedrooms. All wvlenthes of the smaller sizes are not compatible when it comes to sleeping.
So a two week vacation would cost me over 4,000 euro and that is housing alone!!!
Considered renting a caravan to try out for a season. This would set me back some 2000 euro as well, considering I would want to have it for six weeks and had no inventory at all.
So we bought a van. I pay about 1250 euro for campsites during the summer holiday for FIVE weeks.
The extra fuel consumption when towing is about 10%.
The depreciation on the van is yet unknown and I can only hope it will be acceptable.
