Phew..... hard / hot work.

Going to have to release the radiator. Even with the slam brought forward I still cant remove the condenser. (I've also loosen off the 2 bolts bottom bolts either side to allow the slam panel to brought forward more)

Maybe less room in the V8

Sounds like there might be less room with the V8. I thought undoing the slam panel gives enough room to get the condenser out. Let us know how you get on!

Finished. Ended up taking the fan off / unbolting the bolts and rotating the radiator back onto the engine.

Went back in a lot easier then it came out. Once removed there are a couple of bolts half way down that hold on the bottom cowel element. I removed these. Also put a touch of grease on the bottom mounts for the condenser. Lot of leaves and debris in there so out with the hoover

A couple of items to remember.

The slam panel does need quite a lift over the locating pins.
Removing / loosening the four bolts (2 each side)on the slam panel at the front helps with bringing the slam panel forward. The bottom bolts are very close to the bumper skin and a bit of a pain.

Follow the arrow down on the radiator pins. To remove you need to push in the recess to unclip.

Dont forget the bottom bolt on the mounting block Banging Head for the A/C pipes (the sneaky bolt!). This fixes to the radiator cowel and I spent 15min scratching my head until I spotted it.

Took me 6hrs in the end and about a good hour Censored Censored trying to remove the old condenser. Also avoid droping anything down at the front. I spent 20min trying to recover a 1/4 ratchet that had wedged it self nicely into a chassis recess and was close to removing the front bumper.

Nope need to get it gassed and serviced. Either garage or mobile.

Needs also 40ml of oil to be added.

Looks like it will be tonight. Popped into LR this morning and decided to go with the air con service.

Ready to collect Thumbs Up

Held vacuum for 25min / no leaks. Super cold!

New ploy by LR. Stated the car was "lovely" (assumed under the health check) but the wiper were started to smear on the front and the rear was starting to tear. Would you like me to put some on?

How much did LR charge for the air con service if you don’t mind me asking?

Will let you know!

Fixed offer with Inchcape at the moment. However the gas needs to be "added" as they recycle the gas and there was nowt in there.

Sadly a/c systems can hold a vac for hours with no issues, but show them some pressure and they leak!
Nitrogen and some soapy water will find the leak.
