Thanks Gary. What I can't understand though, is that there is oil on the aluminium casing too
PS. that's not a hole on the side, it's just a bit of muckKev

Hi buddy
Assume it’s leaking from the inside strut so as the strut is compressed it leaks into the aluminium casing
wonder if it’s leaking from the top seal, there’s a small O ring seal there , wonder if there’s a hole somewhere else allowing the oil to get to the outside casing
Just looking through some pictures of the nearside to see what other items containing oil may also cause that

Hang on, the FBH fuel line is around the top of that leak , there’s a connector there
Let me see if I can find some pics and see if it’s at the same level as a comparison

Found them at last
Red line is roughly where the leak line starts at
The yellow circle is where the FBH fuel line connector it , I think it’s 5mm , as u look at the connector the bottom pipe is metal , top of the connector is plastic
Has a plastic covers on the coupling , u have to push the covers out the way to access the pushfit section underneath the covers of the connector in order to release the pipe
See what u think plse, only guessing here , but maybe it’s that connector leaking diesel ??

I’m 99% sure it was a 5mm coupling for that FBH fuel line
