A technical bulletin, such as LTB00512, will not show up as an outstanding service action, as they are reserved for major items which affect safety, whereas the tech bulletin is to help resolve customer issues on complaint.
Thus the chain of documents are:
Recall, DVLA letter etc.
Service action, would get dealt with when in a dealership, or maybe even a dealer may phone it's database if they are looking for work.
Technical bulletin, Help to resolve a known issue by Landrover, to resolve a customer query about a fault.
Special service message, a short, quickly produced bulletin, to enable quick publishing to the network, on sometimes minor issue.
These are available to the dealers & independents that subscribe.
So in your case, if you fall within that chassis range, it may affect your vehicle.
regards
Steve

Thanks for that Steve .
I think I will call them again and push a bit harder. Maybe talk to service manager rather than a service advisor.

Hi Clive just for info. I have had the upgrade done and the POI button definitely only turns off the POI's and to turn them on is as stated by Rixy's post

What the hell does the LTB actually DO then?
It's a real pain that the main POI button only switches them OFF. Took me ages to work out my original fix post that RIXY was told about and it is easy to catch the main POI button or for the passenger to by mistake.
Anyone else had the LTB done and noticed anything except the extra tab on the home screen and maybe slightly faster response like DeeJay Must say mine NEVER failed to show the POIs AT ALL, which is what some folks had even after applying my original fix.

Dave are you sure they turned them on as per Rixy's post. They told me it hadn't worked and I sorted it when I got home (see my earlier post)

Oh right yes you do, 5 tabs in total. Before the update only 4 and there was a gap in the middle

Yes b4 the upgrade I had the two top tabs that were programmable e.g phonebook. The bottom 2 were fixed Extra Features and Off. The new middle tab after the upgrade is also programmable. I have set the from top to bottom 4x4 info, Cameras, Phonebook, Extras, and Off

Thanks DeeJay. That is worth having, I use the shortcut buttons a lot.
Would be nice if it solved the damn POI problems though.
BTW have you got surround cameras- and does the rear camera screen switch any faster than it did before? I have had a complete new camera central module fitted by LR techs for variable blue screen, but its still very slow to switch from front to back cameras when manouvering.

Yeah got surround cameras. Never noticed much delay in switching to rear camera, Stick her into reverse and by the time I've checked my mirrors its on. I seem to think that the rear camera is on a different circuit to the others, analogue as opposed to digital, so that might incur a slight delay
