See it all the time. It's tractor drivers round here, and they look like they are 16 years old! For some reason it seems it's not possible to drive a tractor with a 20 ton trailer on if you dont have a phone pressed to your ear. Rolling Eyes

Depending on its age it may never have had a bluetooth module! Not that that is an excuse!

Same here and as my son is one of them, I know that they are indeed sometimes 15-16 years old and are always on the phone with their friends/colleagues in other tractors.
However around here, they are all wearing "Peltors" that leaves both hands free for driving

In the late '80s, when I first got a Walkman, I tried to listen to tapes while driving my Series 3 for long journeys on dirt-track roads. I always found the experience left me disconnected from the 'feel' of the road and my control of the vehicle suffered - especially when it was sliding slightly at speed on gravel bends. Also couldn't distinguish between beats on the headphone and that flap-flap-flap of a puncture, so rapidly gave up the walkman when out on the road. Fine in the tractor going up and down a field, but I "hae-ma-doots" about the safety of using headphones on the open road.

Of course, using Siri or similiar it's quite convenient when driving and "needing" to send a text.
But in reality, it seems todays youngsters are mainly using old fasion voice calls when working to put food on our tables.

These headphones or PPE's have surround microphones that pick up voices or sounds so you can hear if something unusual happens around you.
