National Parks Survey

This is an extract from this month's GLASS bulletin. I think it would be helpful if as many of us who Green Lane could fill it out, taking note of Dale's reference to the negative position taken in the survey itself.

The survey is here:- http://www.cnp.org.uk/news/help-shape-national-parks-future

Extract:

The same issue has recently been raised with regards to shooting. They offer it as an option to be banned but not an option that is actually done by survey participants. Suffice to say similar requests for people add shooting in the "other" box have gone out.

Pressure group wanting to keep their idea of a National Park as the only one allowed. Wouldn't be surprised if they had links with the Ramblers - another single issue group who seem to hate anyone other than ramblers.

How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"

I know what you mean, and there's also, with shooting, the issue of new blood. I used to shoot clays in a village just South of me. The club had been going for more than 40 years, but some of the new influx to the village were so anti gun it was almost impossible to keep it running.
