| National Luna Dual battery system |

After 12 years my National Luna Dual battery system has thrown up a fault after both batteries suffered failure due to the cold (and old age). I have replaced both batteries, but when I reconnect the charging system I am only getting the display up for the cars main battery and once the engine is started the "Timer" light on then national Luna solenoid is not flashing. I have checked all the wiring physically and for electrical continuity, everything appears ok.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with the National Luna twin battery system? I am beginning to suspect that the Intelligent Solenoid has died. Unfortunately it is located in an area were I can not get easy access to.
