tried part of the route in a recent LRO mag feature. some you wouldn't want to use if you're precious about the paintwork, but the Ford near Bramshill was good for a laugh!!!!
just goes to show that water shouldn't be underestimated

That's a different ford I believe, in Newbury. Wouldn't want to go near most fords round here in a D3 when they're like they are at the moment let alone a Yaris.

been through there many times myself, (obviously not to actually get anywhere just for the sake of it) it's tragic and very sad but completely avoidable as there is reasonable signage and it was also 9 o'clock in the morning. The local guy in the story has been quite vocal about it for quite a long time, I imagine the regular incidents of people thinking 'it doesn't look that deep the depth gauge must be wrong' and then discovering that it might be telling the truth is quite frustrating....
