Mystery part that I found under driver seat
I dropped some coins under drivers seat (LHD, manual adjustment) and when trying to grab them I found this instead.
It was loose, lying under seat without obvious place where it could have been break.
The tubing is telescopic, the outer tube is 3cm wide and totally, when extended the system is about 13cm long. The spring fits inside nicely. The right hand end of the outer tube is torn and broken. There are also some heavy scratches on it.
Any ideas what it is? The seats do work.

You really should keep these finds quiet. As soon as news leaks out everybody will want one.
Maybe its only available on Fin-Spec cars? The first air / spring hybrid?
Being serious for 1 second, looks like the left end clips onto a similar shaped item and then the spring would provide some tension. It's not the internals for the lumbar support is it?
If nobody knows, sell it on eBay.D3 HSE V8...

Maybe LR are like me when I mess around with cars, I usually have a few "extra bits" left over. One time it was the oil drain plug AFTER changing the oil , very messy.
So far my 3 week old car has turned up one extra bolt & strip of plastic from under the seats. Could do harder LR, can't flog these on ebay!

An empty Fruit Shoot bottle turned up in one of the rear bins on mine!
This was the proof that mine was the ex-display model we'd already been sat in a few weeks previously to handover (despite being told that they'd had to get it in from somewhere else )Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

That is just so they can con u out of delivery charge. If they use it in their showrooms, they should pay delivery as part of their costs!

This is called the "James Bond" part.
Simply work out what you want to expell where and fit the extra parts to the appropriate place. It is included in the notes for TSB 007.

It looks like the Giggly Pin for the Laughing Shaft to me, but I could be wrong !
I could do with the spring myself, as it’s tiring work all this jumping up & down.

Sorry arsi, whilst I don't know just what it is, I do have 2 of them under the driver's seat on a Aussie S spec model.
They appear to assist the raising of the seat when the driver uses the lever to change the height. They do telescope but I believe that each retains the spring (also shown in your photo).
I think there is a missing part (opposite end to the 'yoke' end) that pivots and retains the telescopic housing and is connected to the seat runners on either side.
By the way, Ford gets a mention on an electrical junction box that is adjacent to the telescopic bit closest to the door on my car. There ia a box manufactured by Tyco with the familiar Ford script also visible and many wires snaking out of it.

* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)
