Mystery Black Plastic Disc |
|
On vacuuming the car this morning I found a solid black plastic disc, the diameter of a 10p piece under the drivers seat of my HSE. [25mmdia x 8.5 deep ]
I have spent a while photographing the under seat structure but cant identify where it might be from. Or if it’s anything from the build even; have carried various other people in the car so might have come from them.
It’s a nice hard plastic, quality like item. It shows no wear or other witness marks.
Has anybody got any ideas please?
John

Thanks Keith and Robbie,
Thought you had cracked it for me but rushed out to check;those arm rest blanking discs are in place and a different shape.
I have put a picture of my Mystery item in my Gallery.
Possible it could be a "knock out" item left during manufacture.
As it shows no wear or pressure marking it has not had to "work" for a living wherever it once was.
Thanks again for trying to help me
John

Is there a center pin on the other side, if so it might be some kind of roller. 1998 Isuzu Trooper 3.1DTi SWB Commercial *Fir Green (Mica)*

I think I know! Is it from the lower corner of one of your doors? It looks like the rubber stop that cushions the door on closing.

I don't think it is the rubber stop. It's made of plastic not rubber.
These stops dopn't have any pins in them.

Thanks for keeping the suggestions coming. Its not a door stop its hard plastic, very hard and shows no sign of any impact. The centre pin is only like a parting off pip and as this "pip" is of no substance I doubt it has any function.
