MY2011 Commercial

Just collected my new (to me) 2011 D4 Commercial, but with loads of toys.
Still haven't quite got over trading in the XF, but needs must.
Dealer was very pleased that he had put 4 new tyres on, but on inspection they were Nexen Roadian, so not that great. It also has 20" wheels, so even with a tyre swap might not be that great for off road. I was trying to get away from an extra set of wheels filling up the garage.
Only driven it home so far and don't really have any basis of comparison to see how it felt on the road, was perhaps a little skittish, but I haven't driven a Disco much before (just as a courtesy car each time the Defender blew up).
Well have a chance for a proper play tomorrow.

My commercial feels completely planted and not skittish on 19 Pirelli zero I have a feeling those tyres may ruin your experience

Likewise - I have had two Commercials and they have never felt less than solid...

Check tyre pressures - if they are super high, then you only have a very small contact patch... my 2nd D4 came through pre-delivery inspection with 65psi in the tyres (!) as apparently they over-inflate them at the factory to ensure they stay round if the vehicle is stood for any length of time...

Cheap rubber, as above, may also have an impact - 20" rims are not standard fit so might do to ask why, when etc...

Good luck and welcome to the fold!
 D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY

D5 Commercial - Handed back when I left that job…
D4 Commercial (2014MY) - gone
D4 Commercial SDV6 - Baltic Blue (also gone)
D1 300TDi... 2" lift, HD bumpers (both), detachable tow hitch, 9,500lb winch, 235/85/16 muds and plenty of other toys (gone to make way for the next toy...)

Smiles per Mile - Tornado Motorsports caged Evo 3... 100" Defender look-alike, with Range Rover running gear - all fully IVA'd and registered!

Currently at 36 psi front and 42 rear, as per door sticker for heavily laden. I think this is a bit too high and it is quite clattery over the back roads. I think I'll try the standard 32/36.
