My15 towing electrics

Fitted them this evening and what a bloody faff!

There's less room behind the bumper thanks to some sort of plastic plate/bracket in the way.

Ended up having to not follow the advice for the kit where you mount the plugs on a provided mounting plate and connect them up under the bumper instead.

Think I will whip the bumper off at a later date and finish fitting them properly but definitely not as easy as the D3.

Not got them enabled yet either... Hope they work! MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Those "plates" are the rear radar for the overtaking \ cross traffic system ...they are a pita when fitting electrics I agree Smile 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Have done mine... but was in a rush prior to holiday so no pictures unfortunately.

Basically to fit the harness properly is a bumper off job ...you can feed the connectors and wiring past the radar plate but it's a PITA job with lots of hand skin scuffing involved. Once you have done that then there is no official location to secure the connectors so it ends up passable ...but a bit of a hash job tbh Smile 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Do all variants have the radar plate or is it just if you have the closing traffic detection option? I was considering fitting my own (been easy on the D4 and D3s I've had up until now) when its delivered but if its a bumper off job now i may let the dealer do it!

Agree it's a brilliant system aside from the Censored poor camera quality.
