MY14 Towing Electrics

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere but I couldn't see it.

I have just tried the towing electrics on my MY14 for the first time this weekend.
Electrics are new 13pin style fitted by the dealer.
When reversing the rear parking sensors are still sensing Shocked
In my MY07 when connected to the tintent the rear sensors where disabled.

Any thoughts??

They need to be software deactivated.
Back to dealer and get them to plug in their computer.

That doesn't sound right and although I don't know for certain, it doesn't make any sense. What would be the point? My MY 13 needed to have them activated for them to work properly. It sounds as though someone has simply put the electrics in without doing the computer bit.

thats exactly my thoughts to be honest.
i cant see any reason why you would want them active when you have a tintent or trailer connected!

When caravan connected does the car change height automatically when you adjust the TR, if it does not it would suggest system set up correctly if it changes automatically it would suggest the system has not been set up right, does not just affect the rear parking sensors but also the TR height adjustment.

Yes mine are deactivated too, my13. Also changes a few other bits like disables auto height change on TR selection so you don't ground the back of the caravan/trailer.

Slovakia 2013 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 S Auto Baltic BlueDiscovery 4

what are the part no needed to fit towing electrics to a MY13 car? I found mutiple part numbers and also it seem that there are more parts to be ordered:

LR020139 (WIRING, TOWING LINK HARNESS, '(-)"CDN/MEX/USA"', WITH 12N 7 PIN ELEC SOCKET/HARNESS, WITH 13 PIN ELEC SOCKET AND HARNESS)

LR011192 (WIRING, TOWING SOCKET HARNESS, 12S HARNESS, '(-)"CDN/MEX/USA"', WITH 12N 7 PIN ELEC SOCKET/HARNESS)

LR011211 (WIRING, TOWING SOCKET HARNESS, '(-)"CDN/MEX/USA"', WITH 13 PIN ELEC SOCKET AND HARNESS )

I assume the last one is the one I need Smile Anything else (except the towing bar)?

thanks
