My MY12 remote heating was activated by the main dealer who I brought the car off after I fitted the remote equipment, using LRs supplied equipment so LR dealers on older models can activate it. Might be worth asking if they can do it with later models as they may have a way round the CCF problem using LRs own equipment.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

yours is a 2012 russell don't have a problem there its the newer ones thats the problem and i don't know why but had a couple of bum twitching moments lately

Iv even ordered a new car with timed climate as I'm not confident of being able to enable it yet !!G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

OK, I tried to get in touch with the people from GAP. Really great service, got an answer in under one hour!
They weren't aware of any problems with MY14, right now they investigate the problem.

We have a few customers who own a 2014 D4 / LR4 and since none of them reported any problem with the CCF writing, I've decided to send a few e-mails to see if any of them had use the function (we do not own a 2014...). I will get back on this shortly.

It is!
Here in Germany I can get a DIY-Set for timed heating, consisting of remote, cables, antenna (all LR genuine) and an IIDTool (which you can keep afterwards) for 799.-€ (~£636.-). Cheers Patrick from Munich

In conclusion...
We had made the appropriate changes in the IIDTool`s firmware a few months ago to support the CCF editing for 2014 but we never had a confirmation from any of our customers. I have received a reply this morning stating that one of them (thanks Dean!) had activated the Time Climate without any issues.
