| MY12 D4 HSE - Both Rear Doors Won't Open from Inside |

Happy Easter Everyone.
A small issue seems to have developed with the opening of the two rear doors on my D4.
The doors open fine using the remote, from the outside and if you press the internal unlock buttons but they don't when you pull the handle on the inside without unlocking first. No resistance at all. I've also checked to make sure that the child locks are turned off.
I didn't think that this was the central locking actuator as the doors always unlock when buttons are pressed but maybe this is just the start of them failing.
Any thoughts would be greatly received.

sounds like the child locks to me. Recently washed the vehicle and dried around the doors? 2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green

The child lock is 'hidden' via a little rubber bung (size of a one pence piece) so it would be very hard to operate it accidentally. You need a deliberate twisting action.
I have just changed both my rear door locks (they failed to lock and unlock so not the same fault as you). One of them is out of stock and on a long lead time with LR (only fit genuine ones - eBay is littered with Chinese copies which apparently fail quite quickly) but I managed to find a brand new one for that side on eBay. Priced around £147 each 
Mine appeared to unlock (visually) and if you smashed the unlock button 10 times sometimes they would unlock! It was time to change them.

Took me 90 minutes on one side, and after getting a bit smarter, 60 minutes for the other. Definitely a two-person job though.

But always check your model (I believe they are the same for all D4s) 
Not sure if I have helped there but definitely check the child locks 'again'.

It's been like this for a little while. When I looked around yesterday I found the OSR child lock on so I thought this was the issue but unfortunately not.
I'll double check and see what I find. I agree that everything points to child locks.
Thanks for the part codes in case I need to purchase them. I'll keep an eye out on eBay just in case.

Hi guys. there's too many "door latch" threads here to choose where I should post.
Hopefully someone else with my problem might find this.
I just failed a WOF (NZ equivalent of MOT) because the RR door would not open from the interior handle.
Got back home. all windows wound down. Tried all sorts of combos of remote lock button activated/unactivated, reach inside try interior handles. RR door interior handle stubbornly refused to do anything. There was the sensation of 'it's not connected to anything' (dead) .
Tried using the dashboard lock/unlock buttons - mostly same but once only, the interior handle responded to open the door.
Went back to using remote lock/unlock. RR door interior handle went back to feeling 'dead'.
Both rear doors child locks set as not in use (latchy thing upright per sticker on door).
Then...
What about those little black latchy lock handle things next to the interior door handles which move when you activate the door locks?
After some testing, the RR door's little black latchy thing was found to be sticking!
Some gentle WD50 spray and lo! all lock/unlock is now working.
Probably I should have removed the door card to clean the latchy mechanisms but for now the RR door interior handle is working.
