MY09 memory seat / steering column |
|
Shiny new MY09 SE in Stornoway on my driveway. I'm completely won over on the colour coded wheel arches, and the back doesn't look too bad either. Shame it doesn't have nearly the spec of my 06SE. The real killer is the lack of phone integration.
Anyway, since it's going to be with me for some time, while LR are scouring their stores for a power steering pump , I'm going to have to fix a major annoyance with the thing. It's got the electrically adjustable steering column and seats, and they both move out of the way when I take the key out of the ignition. But when I go back to the car and put the key in, they return to the position of the last user, who must have been Dwarfy McTripod.
I've set my preferences for seat and mirror positions, saved them on Memory 1, and selected memory 1, but the same thing happens every time. Normally, I'd go away and RTFM but being an enterprise car, the FM isn't available. Could someone with a MY09 go and have a look for me please?

Oh yeah....
OK, so the manual has stuff about memory seats and lazy entry. According to the manual, it should not be doing what it's currently doing.
Quote:Lazy entry
When this feature is enabled, the vehicle stores
the seating and mirror positions for each
remote control. Next time the vehicle is
unlocked using a remote control, the position
of the seat, mirrors and steering column will
adjust to the last used position.
The answer, since I'm the only driver, seems to be to turn lazy entry off.

Lazy Entry was already off. I've turned it on, and all seems fine now.
Strange that without lazy entry on, the seats go to a default position.
