Muttley is trapped in my Gearbox!!

Hey All,

My D4 has only 2500 miles on it and today it would appear Muttley is now trapped in the gearbox! When I reverse up any sort of incline it makes a really ominous noise. Its back at the stealers along with an MP3 of the associated noise. Anyone have any idea whats causing this so I know when the stealer is trying to fob me off......

Thanks.

Alan

That's the Turbo cutting in and out, nothing too omminous.

Seem to remember someone listening to DG's D4 do that at the PNC meet two weeks ago.

Mine does the same, like you I only hear it when I'm reversing up an incline.

Thanks MrH, wondered what the noise was. Thumbs Up

They all do it, even our D3 did when I had it. It's not just in reverse, but when you put load on the engine and so getting the turbo to kick in. Thumbs Up

ohhhh joy, the dealer is going to have fun at my expense. Never heard it making that noise before and immediately thought it sounded terminal. Thanks for everyone's help, at least I know not to argue with the dealer on this.

Heading sheepishly to collect it......

A.
