MTR noise question?

I am thinking of putting a set of MTR's on my D3 but have a couple of questions?

a) As most of my mileage is 'A' roads and motorways will they have the right on-road ability?
b) Are they very noisy?
c) Should I get a 2nd set of rims?

Suggestions please.

If most of your mileage is on-road it doesn't make sense to run MTR's IMO.Get a second set of rims for the occasional off-road excursion.

Alternatively you could run AT tyres, they are available in 17 and 18 inch rim size for the D3

Its all down to cost. If you can afford a second set of rims get them, and have a set of wheels that you can use off road that may get scratched. You can keep your road wheels and tyres for best. Thumbs Up

Wouldn't necessarily agree with that. I run MTR's all the time, no problems with road holding at all. They are noisier, but it's a nice noise Confused Very Happy I tend to go through road tyres rather quickly - MTR's last for ages Thumbs Up

Fair point, I was just thinking road use = road tyres, no issues with noise and better mpg.
