MPG!!! HELP.
I have had disco 4 3500 miles sent into Park Royal as
the DPS came on every 200miles!
Land Rover assist said probably Air leak as engine runs very rough as well.
Car came back from Park Royal usual no information when car picked up
just they did factory re set...LOOKED AT MY MPG SEEMED TO HAVE DROPPED OFF
THE CLIFF LEFT FOR 10 DAYS TOOK AVERAGE AND HAS GONE FROM 29.2 AVERAGE
TO 18.9 HAVE KEPT MONITORING AFTER 200 MILES STILL THE SAME.
I have had service refuse to take car back for diagnostic because there is no fault light
they not interested..rang customer service and am struggling there to.
ANY HELP OR ADVICE VERY WELCOME.
"Ran 6 LRS Since 2004 never been below 28 a and this is a huge drop off after being in PARK ROYAL"
They seem to not be able to think for themselves unless a fault light occurs and LR pass them a flow chart??
Cant afford to run a new disco 8 box on 18 mpg??
ps ive done the same runs daily for 10 years in all vehicles

That's not very good , you could try posting the the Land Rover Customer relations part of the forum for the attention of Liam
Hope you get it sorted Cheers Ian

Also be very interested in anyone comments re Service guys refusing to look at
car unless Fault Light occurred never seen this before in any other dealer
most dealers fall over backwards to dig down on a fault i think Park Royal
must be only interested in their corporate work!
Latest comment apparently from dealer to Cust Serv was send it back
to original dealer!...nice
Im in london and the car originated from Newcastle
If a cars handed back and customer sees another problem how can they refuse to look at it???

Park Royal are site sponsors so I have moved your thread in here - I'm sure that a right call to the right person will resolve.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Re DTC (Light)
I’m afraid that’s generally the way of the world now the cars are so complex you need a code for a technician to know what to google for the Fix
A sound mechanic will find the fault but these are few and far between
Offer to pay for “Open†time you may get a different answer

customer service tried calling DP wouldnt return so spoke to
Service gave same answer we have done everything we can yet
i gave them the problem after car was returned??
How can you do everything when MPG fell off the cliff after it was returned??
FRUSTRATING
Rob wouldnt even entertain having car back without a fault light?..strange.
New disco hardly any miles and returnend doing 18mpg...I dont go up everest in it

What sort of driving is that and do you regularly reset your trip? 19mpg is pretty much the norm if it's urban driving or short trips.
PS how does the type of driving that gave 19mpg compare with the driving that clocked up the 29mpg? Do you log actual mpg or are you just relying on the trip?

Hi there,
I have same pattern for 10 years in through twiker-richmond and finally chiswick for work
been the same for ever even mo old D3 2.7 54 PLATE GOT AROUND 26MPG
AND THESE NEW 8 BOX SUPPOSE TO BE EVEN BETTER THROUGH 3L??
Maybe try wimbledon they seem to be keener to look at..i listed this as main but
also have irregular throttle over reving and hesitation when low down or into slow corner
but they never give any detail replies i even go to bother over typing list
and stick to dash board 1-5 and never have a clean rePly from this place
HUNTERS AND STRATSTONE EXCELLENT BUT DONT KNOW ONE NEAR?

You say you bought it from Newcastle landrover. If so I can understand why park royal aren't overly helpful. If they can't find a fault, they can't claim for their time from landrover. So they loose money. At least if you had bought it from them they would have had some profit in the deal to cover non warranty time. You must see this from a business point if view!
Would you work for free???
