MPG after first service.
Hi,
I've had my car back for a few days and my MPG has dropped from around 28 round town, pre service, to 22MPG post service. I have driven around 60 miles since the service. Taking into account that the on board fuel computor can be out by 2 or 3 MPG, that puts it around 19 or 20
Just explained this to the LR main dealer and he says that as the system has been reset that this is the norm and will eventually correct itself.
Anybody else heard this???
For info the car is a SDV6, 2013, XS.

175 views and only one comment. Very nearly a bump!
For the record the consumption is still very low!

Mine didn't change after the service. It did when I had a rubbing brake pad though.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

You must sit in traffic or have a very heavy right foot... I'm getting 24 on my g4 with chunky tyres and the huge roof racks and getting a regular 33mpg on my D4.....
Sounds like something wrong!

^This^ Could be worth checking? I've had similar after back from a dealer service.

Do you reset your trip meter after every fill up?
If you don't then they may have upgraded some of the software on your car which would reset the trip so it may take a little while before your average gets back up to what you are used to
Here are the last 5 fill up's on my MY2012 D4
And my averages over nearly 2 years

Yesterday reset my trip computor, drove 100 miles on the motorway, using the cruise control, apart from the odd overtake up to 80 mph, for 95% of journey never went above 70mph.
Fuel return was 31mpg.
I have not got a heavy right foot.
Any thoughts??? Â

Thought that was mine when I saw Hairy Dans pics then I spotted the 18. Never been that low even with caravan in tow. My lowest so far just above 21 highest just under 32, generally about 28. Seems about normal from what I read and the other comments here.

My MPG has dropped by around 7% since my 1st service.
Ah well, the car is smoother with the update but the mpg hit is unfortunate. We will see what happens as the adaptions settle.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
