My consistant 1MPG difference, I've now put down to several accumulative things;

Going to work is due South most days into headwind, it's colder in morning, quieter traffic so no slipstreaming effect.

Going home is mostly tail wind, it's warmer in late afternoon, and there's more traffic to slipstream.

press and hold the 'i' button on the left hand stalk when displaying MPG or Trip.

And an auto will be worse, especially on short trips or in heavy traffic commutes.

Long distance constant speed is where you will see an increase in MPG.

or...

you could have a problem somewhere.

I presume theres a difference with a tuned engine, Slimer?
Any idea where the peak torque is on a tuned engine?

I re-jigged TFC's figures onto spreadsheets - I THINK these work... Move to leftmost sheet (BHP vs RPM)

Andy

(both flat peak around 3700 rpm (190bhp and 230bhp respectively)

Andy, looks more like a Power vs RPM curve not Torque vs RMP on the Absolute dTorque (lbft) vs RPM tab? Confused
