MOT Wheel Size

Hi

Would my car pass its MOT if I had 22" wheels on the rear and 19" on the front ?

probably not but i suppose its down to how well you know the tester and how well he knows the regulations Laughing not much help i know but you should really have matching tyres all round on any 4x4 vehicle Thumbs Up

I think as long as the wheels/tyres on the same axle match, it might be ok. I'm guessing it's not going to be a permanent thing?

Rolling with laughter

Just wanted to put some tyres on it that don't have cracks, without changing all 4 wheels.

Don't really want to fit new tyres as it will probably just get parked up again

For an MOT, it can have different size wheels front to rear, as long as they are the same size across each axle

Cracked or perished tyres would need to be very very bad to fail an MOT. Badly perished tyres normally end up getting an advisory during a test but it can again depend very much on the individual tester. Might be worth asking at the test garage what they think before spending money or messing about changing wheels around and potentially causing transmission damage with mismatched tyres. Thumbs Up
