MOT Today - Testers are PLANKS
Well the trusty old D3 passed YET AGAIN, and NO Advisorys, YET AGAIN. A testerment to 10forCash's services and maintenence
HOWEVER
The Mot tester <snip> Hates Landrovers, his words NOT mine. All was going well when he got in the D3, then selected reverse to see the mirrors dip as a aid, he jumped out and said he cound'nt reverse that because of the mirrors and My window Tinting was obscuring the view rearwards, and the tint was illeagal.
After reversing it for him towards the Bay, I left him to drive onto the ramp and said that the tint was factory fit, and meets the light regulations anyway, did'nt want an argument as he had not started the TEST
All was ok, checked the lights all round then got a junior techy to sit in the seat, me in the viewing area biting my tongue as know the rules on chatting, speak when spoken too. He then proceded to jack the front of the D3 whilst on the four post lift. He said how heavy the D3 was, I said roughly 2.5t, he then dropped it onto its tyres and disappeared to fetch the manager, he came back and said the MOT was halted as they did'nt have a jack on the ramp upto scratch and lift the beast. I pointed out as the test was halted they were only lifting half the D3, hence their 2t jack was ok. He still was'nt happy, and did this
He got 2 mechanic type Acros, not sure what they use them for, but have a cupped top half. He put them under the cross member and lowered the D3, one moved and the D3 lurched sideways
Was not happy, and not sure if that can have done some damage. I checked thoroughly and all seems ok, but so annoyed with the amateur'ish know it all behaviour with a customers machine. Its the 3rd MOT with them, and never had a problem before.
I think he must be a Hitler, he failed SWMBO's Corsa last month on a Bulb, it was working, but apparently Bent and the Beam was out, they sold me a Bulb for £10

Oh, and I just remembered, I was given the option to remove the Disco3 window sticker before he started, or that would be a fail too...................
Same sticker, same place as photo, NOW REPLACED in screen

Well I did take a few pics, but is it worth taking this further with VOSA.. I am taking it further with the company, as his manager whitnessed his language towards me/or the D3.

Cheers Rich, why bother. Looked at the VOSA recommendations on the D3 MOT, none were followed, so will forward my complaint and photos to Vosa.

You should have seen it, the speed he dropped the four post ramp onto those Acro's, the front just creaked and groaned as it got higher and higher. NO RESPECT.
