Hi My 2007 disco 3 has failed the MOT with HEADLIGHT LEVELLING DEVICE INOPERATIVE OFFSIDE REAR.

Is this a ride hight sensor rear left? also would you change both if one has broken?

Welcome

I'd be asking the tester for an explanation

If your headlights are at the rear I can see the reason for the failure ! Laughing It could be that the beam pattern is incorrect and there is an adjuster on the lights, do you have Xenons or Halogens ?

Vehicles with HID headlamps are required to have a headlamp washing system (a wiper is not required) and be self levelling, which may be achieved either by the use of either headlamp or suspension levelling systems.

The presence and operation of these headlamp cleaning and levelling devices has been added to the test. Therefore, if a mandatory headlamp levelling or cleaning device is missing, inoperative or otherwise obviously defective, the vehicle will fail.

Perhaps your headlights are not truly level or not level and the tester suspects/knows the rear height sensor is US?

It will be the right rear (Offside in the UK) sensor that's possibly broken. The lights will be relying on all 4 height sensors to maintain a level for the Xenon lamps.
