Is this an MoT failure

Hi. I know I need to do some work on the sills. But tge car goes in for MoT tomorrow and I'm worried it'll fail on this. It seems to be just the outer sill. Any thoughts

I didnt put the hole in unfortunately. Everything seems sound around the area, but im going to Cornwall o week Wednesday so this could do with being an issue for when I get back. Either way I will be getting it sorted as i intend to keep the car long term so it needs fixing, just coukdve either done with that 6 months extension or finding it in a month!! Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

What diameter is the hole? Would a circular blanking piece from a desk ... hides a hole cables can be run through... fit? If it looks like it's meant to be there, it probably won't be questioned. .

I've got a hole saw so may make some blanks to fill the holes. Its just frustrating as if tge mot was a week earlier I'd have got tge 6 months grace. Like I say I just want to get the much needed holiday out of the way then get it sorted. Fingers crossed Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

but ... knowing what you know, how safe is an MoT pass as a guarantee of the condition of a car ?

I have always thought that. I try to keep on top of the maintenance and dont rely on an MoT as a gauge for the condition of my car. Just chuffed its gone through as were off on holiday next week! Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey
