Morocco Christmas 2012
Mr and Mrs Hanechdene and ourselves are planning on taking a trip down to Morocco for Christmas :
leaving on the 14th December and returning to UK on 6th Jan. We plan to take a few days down through France and Spain (or maybe ferry to spain) then across to Morocco. Not planned exact route yet and need to look at some road books etc, but we are looking for another one, or two cars who may want to come along.
its not an "organised" trip and everyone will need to contribute to the navigation, recovery (if reqd) etc.
it wont be a 24 hr driving marathan. we want to take a few days to get down there and when in Morocco spend a bit of time seeing stuff. we will wild camp but also stay in campsite and maybe the odd hotel or two.
we plan to start driving no earlier than 10:00 and would look to stop and setup camp around 16:00 ish. its all pretty flexible but we have no intention of driving for 10hours a day.
Its a family trip, so if you fancy joining us for Christmas Dinner in Morocco , let me know.
It is essential that we all have the same like minded attitude as we will be together for 3 weeks !!!
I still have to build the camping trailer !!, but if all goes to plan, that will be complete by mid November Duncan

I would love to, Mark would also, Laura and Holly would not like it. Also there is the issue of school and holidays not sure if they have that long off or if it would tie in with your dates. Will I think have to wait until at least Mark leaves school.
Thanks anywayMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Having met both families at the cowboy hut recently I would realy like to go with, but have already booked the yearly family holiday in SAfrica( have to take my five year old out of school for 2 weeks all worth it even with £50 school penalty), so will be thinking of you next to the barberque on west coast of SAfrica! A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

Hi Gareth,
Have you been recently?
The souk in Marrakech is an experience and a half!
We last went two years ago for our honeymoon and really looking forward to going back but at more of a leasurely pace than last time.

we were there in April 2010.
the temperature wasn't too bad.
you had to keep your wits about you though with the mopeds flying around the shops especially when you are completly deaf in one ear and have absolutely no idea where anything is coming from
