Montalcino v Firenze
Diifficult question this one
Even though I have just bought a new Montalcino Red Discovery - I still really like the Firenze red
I can't make up my mind if I have gone for the nicest colour or not?
One of my worries is that as the Firenze red gets older it might not look as good in terms of fading with sunlight etc
Don't think too many people will have had the chance to see both colours side by side?
Which do you prefer out of the two reds?

Montalcino. The reason you don't see many is it is difficult to imagine the colour on the D4.
However, in the flesh it is fantastic.
Firenze is nice and bright but Monty is a far better colour imhoMY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Nothing to choose between them, the one thing they both share though is quality new owners that have style, unlike those that choose white, grey or black

My D4 is Firenze, and my Defender is Montalcino! Personally, I hate the look of the D4 is Montalcino, I really don't think the colour suits the shape...but then I couldn't I again a better colour for my Defender, so hey ho!
But Firenze all day for a D4, naturally

I've had Firenze Red on my last two LR's and it doesn't fade
Personally, we like Firenze and so many manufacturers have done something similar over the years; we used to have a Peugeot 406 in Diablo Red (identical to Firenze) and even Rover used to do Nightfire (identical to Firenze) and even my old Triumph Sprint was in Candy Apple Red (identical to Firenze!)
Still love the colour, but a replacement is no bad thing. Not sure that the new colour does it for us though, as it's a little too dark and sensible for us, but each to their own 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

Yes I agree and think Firenze is a great colour and I am hoping that the Montalcino won't be too dark, especially out of the sunlight

Yes it does look good in Firenze and I can understand why you went for it
As I said above I am hoping Montalcino isn't too dark, we'll see, the other thing for me is that we tow a caravan with a red stripe down each side which is almost exactly Montalcino so it will look good
