Modified (cheap) armrest to fit in the rear of a Discovery 4
As my dad is of a sleight build he found he slid around a bit in the back of my Disco and wanted an arm rest. After LOTS of searching I found this piece of kit.
The thing is, the metal arms slide down between the seats fine but the plastic base is just a tad too wide to slide between the metal seat supports. My solution was to reduce the height of the plastic base to the height of the seat padding by cutting-out a section and gluing the base back on (see pics). This all now slides down perfectly and my dad can rest his arm A-OK.

Very clever. Bet your Dad is chuffed. Wondering whether it may have applications keeping the kids apart?
I see they do a variety of colours too..
Good post.

Cheers! Aye, he is. As its a storage container too he can pop his phone in there as well. I just wish the D4 had a fold-down dual armrest from the center seat like my old Jag XF. Oh well.Discovery 4 HSE late 2015 Euro6
