Good day fine folk. I’m looking at getting one of these gadgets but I’m wondering if it’ll do what I need...
My 2011 D4 doesn’t have the climate timer but has a working fbh, can this iid tool allow me to add it?
Also can it update the central info bit (between the dials) so Nav and radio info is shown there?
Lastly, can it turn on the drl function ?
Long winded post but I think you in advance for any help.

Just make sure you understand the warnings in the IID documentation about having a fully charged battery when you update the Car Configuration File (CCF).
You can also update the centre screen between the dials to have the more modern look of the facelift cars, but as I understand it you cannot enable Nav and Radio info to appear there as it needs different hardware.
Regarding DRL I think you can enable "Scandanavian setting" or similar but I think this just turns on dipped lights all the time the car is running which you probably don't want. There are hacks to enable DRL type behaviour here -> https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/d4-fairy-li...iry+lights

Just to add, I myself had enabled Timed Climate and update the look of the between-dial screen successfully.
I have not tried the DRL type hacks yet, but might give it a go.

You’re most welcome. Yes they’re not cheap but mine has already paid for itself in diagnosing a few niggly issues on top of the little upgrades I mentioned
Cheers,

Just update the IPC. It’ll take away the gray shading, that’s pretty much it.
