Mirror on Base model

I bought a Gentex Homelink/Auto-dimming mirror, which I was told will fit to base model "wedge" type mount.

I just want to make sure that I can get off the mirror from the windscren mount without breaking anything. According to Topix that I just pull up and away the mirror from the mount on the windscreen. Can somebody please confirm it is true or I need to do anything special to take the mirror off.
