Feel your pain
Just about everything re-done on the D3 over the last couple of years....except one thing...and that has now gone pop so it will be off for a heart transplant soon
Must be mad to sink more money into it but spent enough on it so it should be good for a while yet....and another vehicle for middle son would end up costing the same, even second hand one (he says badly justifying the worst man-maths calculation in history.....’cos I’ve also gone and got a D4 for overlanding trips )MY2008 D3 - It got me hooked...gone
MY2012 D4 - It kept me hooked...gone
MY2007 D3 - Mid-Life crisis toy continues driving me to bankruptcy...
MY2018 "D5" Si6 - But is it a "true" LR...discuss...but now gone
Back in a D4 with a lot of extras....

Feel for you, that silver beastie has served you well & kept you poor in equal measure. As for being mad, it’s not compulsory but sure as hell helps.
Re sinking money into a car, hope you get more back than the 4,000 miles I got after spending £2,500 on a gearbox rebuild before she died.
PS Is the D4 your old company lease grey D4? Well that’s one way of avoiding taking all the parts off.
