Depends on how you drive, what the traffic is like etc.

My average over two weeks from Shropshire to Dover and then down to the Midi Pyranees - lots of twisty mountain roads too - was around 28MPG.

In the UK my average is around 28MPG.

If you average 30 on long trips and 22 stuck in city traffic, that sounds about right.

And good for an Auto... mine is manual.

My average is now 23 mpg. I can get up to 28 but it gets a bit tiresome trying. Local journeys only brings it down to 22.

I've stopped worrying about it really... anything above 27.8 (my most common average) is OK in my book for this class of vehicle.

it used to be about 28 until I fitted the roof rack and lights Confused

I made last week 1050km roundtrip mainly highway driving. I was very surpriced at gas station while I made calculation. 8,0 litres/100km (equals to 35mpg?)! OK, there was very little urban driving but I'm still amazed on that figure.

Mine has autobox (50kkm on clock) and I use always manual to engage 6th gear in under 100km/h. BTW, next tank was 8,5l/100km with some 1/5 of motorway driving. Not too bad either? Smile

Also an Auto
Interesting (?) thought - is Cruise Control more economical?

Only had mine a week, but on the country lanes to work I can get 29-30mpg if there is no traffic and just over 30mpg on the motorway. Around town it is 25-26mpg. our's is an auto.

Not bad for a week old - assuming new and engine therefore not loosened up

As soon as you hit 80 I find the economy tumbles. Interestingly having a chat with one of the sales guys at Harwoods, he has found the TD8 FFRR does 25mpg however you drive it

With my TDV8 I was getting 24mpg but once I got onto the motorway and cruised at 80 the mpg started to go up, it was reading 27.9 when I finished the journey Thumbs Up
After dropping the RRS off at the garage they gave me a FL2 TD4 manual, when I got it it was reading 22,4mpg and by the time I got home with it 28.1 Confused
