Not bad for a week old - assuming new and engine therefore not loosened up
You must have a featherlight touch
Sorry should of said new to me, it's December 05 and done 21K miles. I think that's not bad considering the size of the car. If you turn of the air con compressor it does make quite a difference.

Andy be aware that teh mpg on the computer can be a bot optimistic and that factor can vary with each fillup/reset. I log actual fuel vs the odometer (sad, I know).

I'm very happy with my new BullTorque remap, takes about twenty minutes to do it yourself without any hardware and just using a combination of very precise accelerator positioning and presses of the information button

Don't know enough about the ZF Auto gearbox, but torque converters lose kinetic energy (~10%, ends up as heat) when pumping fluid through the different turbines used to compensate the mismatch between drivetrain and engine rotational speeds. However modern torque converters lock up solid in the end gear eliminating the energy loss. That means in 6th gear there should be little difference between a manual and an auto (other than slight gearing differences or weight) in terms of mpg.
BullTalk remap: Did you fire the engine when rolling it down hill ?There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Yep, engine was running - mainly 'cos the 1:4 hill I travelled down is quite twisty and I like my power assisted steering and brakes Oh, and I was in gear too, not coasting.
It took 20 minutes simply to ensure the road was devoid of cars yet full of ramblers and cyclists Dr. Ian Malcolm:
