Hi, does LR3 have a switch to change from a miles on the dash display to KM? I'm investigating buying in US and importing to Canada as prices seem much better.. Thanks

Mine allows you to change between km and m via the user settings on the stalk

Went and had a look - it only changes the trip computer and not the odometer

I just imported a 2006 LR3 from the US into Canada. Before I flew down I had the dealer in Portland OR switch my Daytime Run Lights on and change everything from Miles to KMs......or so I thought. I picked up the vehicle and took a glance at the trip odometer....sure enough KMs and the lights were on daytime run mode. Half way back to Vancouver, BC I looked at the actual odometer and realized it still said "miles". I freaked out and made an appointment before the border in Lynwood and the Dealer was good enough to fit me in on short notice....long story short.....turns out that the dealer cannot or won't switch the Odometer, they took it into the shop and then came back a half hour later acting strange and saying it could not be done without a new module. Land Rover here in Canada said it is considered Odometer tampering and will void warranty so not to touch it. This is very strange as an Audi I imported was switched over and warranty is fine. Very mysterious but regardless it is fine for licensing and all the other computer readouts can be changed to KMs with user settings.

I did the deal. Got the car in, paid the fees and got the daytime running lights on but, yes, still miles on the clock. It does not bother me that much but if i sell or trade in Canada in the future I'm sure it will be used as a reason pay less $$.

On the D2 holding the trip reset button for about 2secs reset the trip, keep holding it and it will toggle from miles to km, same procedure to switch back again. As it clearly states on the dash what unit it is using I doubt whether a charge of tampering would stick.
