I know there are more stories like that and I am really curious if the cause for this finally has been found?

My 1st D4 got chopped in for my 2nd D4 as I never cured brake judder even after a number (4 if I recall) of disc and pad changes, and lower joints done, new tyres fitted, different wheels fitted, it always came back after a few thousand miles - and mine were OEM discs (Brembo) and pads.

I certainly did. Evil or Very Mad

It was a brand new D4 and I rejected it after 4 unsuccessful attempts by LR to fix it. It wasn't fit for purpose.

No idea what was causing it and my other 5 Discovery's never suffered from it. New hubs were fitted, which I thought was the likely cause of it all, but was wrong.

After research have gone for textar. Some best in test winners and I know they make a lot of oem stuff (I work for MB main dealer) Tried advanced factors but had to go to Buy Car Parts in the end as many places seem to have a minimum order qty with textar. Will report on finding when fitted.

My new to me 16 plate commercial has this horrendous brake judder now she is fully loaded, I am fairly certain it is not discs though, light breaking up to a round a bout fierce judder but stand on them and stops smothly and fast. I am wondering about bottom arm bushings being worn and under light braking they move about a bit but heavy breaking they deform but stay crushed or extended depending on which end of the lower arm.
Thoughts please and poss what to look for under the car as still learning my way round the Disco, more used to my Full Fatt and Defenders.

Probably not much help but I had a terrible braking judder appear a few weeks ago, and the pads and discs are only a couple of thousand miles old, if that.

Turned out to be a small stone or similar on the drivers side pad, I only noticed it as it was causing a slight scoring of the disc. A good blast with a jet wash shifted it and the brakes were perfect afterwards.

Don't rule out a sticking caliper.

One thing to to try to see if the discs are warped: apply the brakes on slow speed lightly so that pads barely touch the brake disc. You should feel an uneven brake force on pedal (and maybe also in car speed reduction). That's when pads touch the warped discs only at some points.

When you apply full brake force the phenomenon may not be as pronounced as pads are constantly touching the discs and movement is transferred to pads to slide in calibers instead (assuming lower arm bushes don't give and start juddering instead).
