Discovery 3 Metropolis
For those who seek the finest Discovery 3 available, look no further than the Metropolis Limited Edition. It is limited to 300 vehicles and is the last word in seven-seater capability. The latest in the award winning Discovery range, the Metropolis offers an eye-catching exterior, dramatically accentuated with chrome finish mirror caps, bright waist rail and stainless steel side protection tubes. Added to this is an exceptional in-car entertainment package and technology such as rear DVD system with 10" screen, making the Metropolis not only supremely comfortable, but also singularly stylish.

I love Land Rover's brilliant marketing. The "Contemporary Interior" section of text has a picture of the front the vehicle.

All the parts are available as Accessories from Land Rover. It's just packaged together. (There might be a cost savings over buying all the kit bits.)

they did this on the D2 as well didn't they? add a few bits on like DVD players and sidesteps for a few £k more, maybe something dreamed up by the marketing dept along with the RRSwhatever to divert attention from the Fr3?
not that I'm cynical or anything but there's a line somewhere that's in danger of being crossed, how many 'limited editions' can you remeber on various FoMoCos vehicles in your memories? and theeeeennn......???

In my experience limited or special editions are not normally very good value overall. There is usually less discount available on them from new but when you px them as they don't show up the Glass's guide you don't get any extra for them either. Zermatt silver 06 reg.

The D2 Metropolis was introduced to clear stock prior to introduction of the D3. Does that mean a D3.5 is imminent? No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

In the States, they call it "Reflections" I guess because it is mostly chrome and black chrome.

They probably had a load of bling bits to get rid of as they hadn't sold many aftermarket for the D3, probably explains why there isn't a RRS Metropolis Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE
Defender 90 XS - now with a Webasto FBH that works!
