My daughter will start work as a paediatric nurse in September after three years at Uni. She will start on £26,000 a year.

Moo - if there were enough people prepared to pay to watch nurses working, they'd be able to command higher salaries because Sky etc. would buy the rights, etc.
Sadly, the society we live in does seem to dissociate value added to society from the value of the salary paid. If humans had their heads screwed on properly then doctors, nurses, teachers, emergency services, etc., would all be held in high regard, be very well paid and we wouldn't have a shortage of them. Instead, so-called celebrities are held in high regard, paid very well, and kids want to follow their career path. That those celebrities are often just vacuous egos doesn't bother anyone in the industry because they're all making money from it. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I agree. It's an upside down world. However, only a very few make the money in the celebrity and sporting world, the rest have to get a job and graft an income.
