Messed up my computer
Hello. I have messed up my computer and I have only had it a week. We got it 2nd hands from Brian down the social club - Mavis is not happy with me as she wants to use it to webcam on the line, I might have to stay in tonight.
I was on the line this morning looking at the GMTV website and entering one of the competitions. We used to use teletext but for some reason that wont work anyhow we try. Mavis was busy cleaning when Daisy jumped up onto me lap and split me brew. I attempted to wipe the spillage off the letters and numbers I pressed some in and now I have a problem.
For emails to people I use a program called Inbox - Microsoft Outlook. When John sends me email I move the mouse and click on reply. Normally this would open a new email so I could write to John but now it opens a new program up instead!. I can still write the email from this but the pictures and options have gone!
I would like to get this rectified asap. Is anyone in Stoke who can pop round?. Mavis and I are very accomodating and happy to look after you. Thanks

Go to your nearest computer shop, buy a new one, plug it in and all will be well.
Unless of course you have a laptop in which case you need someone who knows how to repair laptops Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

but PEBKAC sounds like it's really technical, PICNIC sounds like you're taking the p!$$
I would like to help in the rectification of this matter but unfortunately I am unable to swing over to Stoke to assist. In fact, I am unable to swing anywhere at the moment due to restrictions placed upon me by my wife. Maybe we can do it on here?
Can I ask if the webcam is business-critical? Or purely a social and recreational device? I might need to factor it into my later advice.
When you clicked the mouse before you got a new email with which to reply to John, but now you get a different program. What is this program called? It should say in the bar that runs across the top of the window.Brain: We must prepare for tomorrow night.
Pinky: Why? What are we going to do tomorrow night?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky - trying to take over the world!
Singers: They're Dinky, They're Pinky and the Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain!

Usually if a problem is described as PEBKAC, it can be solved by PFM...(pure f ing magic). 55-Reg Java Black SE, Unlocked SatNav (via Wiggs and Bodsy), Nudge Bar/Driving Lamps/RAI, Front & Rear Lamp Guards, RLD Sump Plate, RLD spare wheel protector
