Yes that does make sense  drivers door is rattly and the crisp tweeters and higher notes seem less clear to me than the disco3.
There’s 3 per door and one on the dash I could spot?

The 400w Meridian system has 13 speaker, 3 in each of the front doors, one on dash, 2 in each second row doors and one at the rea. This as counted on the Meridian web site but that only accounts for 12 speakers.
The 700w system has an extra 2 speakers at the rear but again that’s only 14 when there should be 15.
So there is a hidden speaker somewhere in each case! 6 LRs last one 2009 HSE D3.

There ls a hidden bass “box” inside the tailgate from memory.
