Read what The Register says about the Google Nexus 7 - Mk 2 - 2013:-

Quote:
Probably the best tablet in the world

available at about £159 for the 8GB version and £199 for the 16GB

Use Google for other reviews - I really can't see why one would buy anything else - I know it's 7" but the display is excellent.

I suggest you Google "Google Nexus 7 2013" - make sure you are getting the Mk 2 2013 version.

Prices vary I suggest you try Amazon, Tesco & Google Play.

Good luck.

Thumbs Up ....Done lots of surfing and I see that the 32Gb version is around + £40 over the 16 version [All are advertized as the 2013 version - thanks for that tip too ... Idea
As a newbie in this area .... Embarassed - what advantages would I get with the 32 as against the 16, please.... Question
I don't use my present Toshiba lap top [Vista] for games - nor do I want that facility. Would like to watch videos / play music, lots of eMail, searching for information of all sorts and MSWord
Bow down .....Kind regards...... Laughing

MSWord is not, so far as I am aware, available on Android devices.

There are however plenty of FREE apps. which perform a similar function and which can read & write MS Word files such as:-

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wps.moffice_eng

I suggest you read this article:-

http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-57579112...-here-now/

MS are bringing our an Android version, BUT for 'phones only in the first instance:-

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/31/m...81811.html

Frankly I wouldn't waste money on MS office programs, whether to run on a PC, 'phone or tablet - but I accept that some other prefer to pay for this type of software.

I should have added that, IMHO, you should go for the 32Gb version, particularly as there is no card slot for external memory.
