Interested to know from members of the All Year Round MTR Club how MTR's perform on wet tarmac compared to standard fit Scorpions or Wranglers. I currently have 18's on my manual 05 SE TDV6 with Wranglers that will be due for a change soon. I've also recently picked up a set of 18's with Scorpions on that have only done about 4k. Not sure whether to change the worn Wranglers on my current set of wheels with General AT's or MTRs

As a fully paid up member of the club I can safely say they are fine in all-weathers ....unless you drive like a complete nut-argh of course ...but the main thing above all else is they look the bollax 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

are the general grabber at2's any good or would you go for the mtr's, my sorpions are about shot and I wouldn't mind something with a bit of meat on, don't do loads off road, but might when I get my new boots
What do you think I should be paying for either tyre
Cheers
Dave.

19" = MTR's
18" = AT2's
MTR's look the business and handle well. They don't handle as well as the road tyres when yoiu really hoon it round the roads, but then I don't hoon 2.7tonnes too often!
But they do have a more than acceptable level of grip for spirited driving, just not mad nutter driving.
I'd planned to just swap mine on for off road forays, but they've been on for 9,000 of my 16,000 miles so far.
Even had 37MPG with them on yesterday (driving VERY cautiously 140odd miles all the way home, just to see what could be achieved)

You would have to be driving like a complete gimp to mess up on MTR's, I respond for the local ambulance service to severe trauma jobs, so i don't hang around when iv'e got all the blues and twos going !! MTR's grip like sh*t to a blanket,providing you are using your power correctly.
They go quite well on their side walls, and work well with the stability control systems.
Then when you do get off the tarmac they work exactly how you want them to, and they do look the mutsnuts..... Specialist Medical & Rescue Services

I have 18s on the motor and the spare set are also 18s - I've now read enough advice to be convinced to apply for All Year Round MTR Club Membership but not sure if your'e suggesting that AT2s are more suitable than MTRs for 18s (that is if MTRs are available for 18s which I haven't checked).

MTR's are specifically for 19" wheels only
Blue Meanie had/has a set for sale that was posted last night
