Maxx Raxx bike Rack - swanneck adapter welding issue |
|
I received a letter this morning from maxx raxx informing me of some quality problems with the welding of part of the swanneck adapter. Aparantly a batch has a problem and mine was one of them. I bought this at the same time as you guys as part of the group buy. Have you received letters?
It is warning you not to use it until replacement is obtained or you are told otherwise - they expect a 2 month wait on the replacement part.
I am wondering if it is in fact warning me about the modification Maxx made to stop the Alko stabiliser snagging on the adapter. Would be interested to know who else has had a letter this morning.
If you have all had letters, I'm sorry as I feel guilty having organised the group buy...

Sturge no need to feel sorry or guilty about organising the group buy. In my opinion no other bike rack comes near the MaxxRaxx, hopefully the problem will be rectified in less than 2 months. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold
