With 25 years Army service behind me, and many happy hours living in a self-dug hole in the ground (Salisbury Plain being the bloody worst!) or a wood somewhere, I would recommend you visit the Army Rumour Service(ARRSE) website for links to experts in being comfy kipping in Censored ! Or just buy a caravan. Wink

Went on there and a quick search seems to have the same queries and thoughts as this thread... some say campbeds, others SIMs and get a thick one like the Alpkit.

Gelert Adventure XL 10cm SIM, perfect! Far better than the air bed even if a little bulky - not planning on camping without the car anytime soon though so good enough for me Smile

Sorry bud, totally forgot to post the pic of the Polish Mattress. Embarassed

They were bulky compared to self inflating jobs but like you mine will only be used from the car so not an issue. Still not had chance to try them out but they look like they will do the job nicely.

Sure the Gelert jobs you chose will be spot on.

Regards,

Rich

Will be interested to hear how you get on as they looked very comfy in the picks and great value!!

I'll be needing to buy some more soon as missus loved camping for the first time but didn't get on well with the air bed whereas the Gelert SIM is far better.
