Masking lights
I have Halogen lights and need to mask them for driving in France but without any marking on the light units it seems tricky.
The handbook tells you to consult the "approved dealer/service agent" which I have done. I was expecking some sort of accessory kit to be avaliable but oh no.
Has anyone else had this problem or do you all have Xenons?2012 D4 - SDV6 XS - Firenze Red

ask your dealer to look at TSB LA417-001 - Discovery 3/LR3 - Headlamp Masking it was released November 2004 so they should be aware of it... it basically gives the positional dimensions to fit a 'standard headlamp masking kit' - whatever one of those is
Or you could take the view' the europeans - it's their fault for driving on the wrong side' and carry on regardless ... and yes, i've got xenons 8)

Agree with TFC the left hookers, how often do you see them with their lights masked

Ferret,
I've got Xenons but I've also got the lamp guards and frankly can't be arsed to dismantle the front of the car to get to the switches.
Just pop into your friendly AA shop at the port and they will sell you some stickers and a guide showing exactly where to put them on your D3. This kit costs about £6 and once you've done it once you'll know where to place the duck tape next time !
