Manual locking only on both rear doors |
|
Hi, when locking our D4 using the interior lock button, keyless door handle buttons or key fob neither of the rear doors locks.
Both lock fine using the switches on the inside of each door, but then don't unlock with the fob or keyless, unless you use one of the rear door handles to keyless unlock - then that rear door and the front doors unlock, but not the rear door on the other side.
Seems strange being both rear doors at the same time. Thinking of randomly trying disconnecting the battery for a while, maybe pulling fuses and trying to clear any fault codes but wondered if anyone has similar experience or any more specific advice/wisdom?
Many thanks

I have just had the same issue with my o/s/r door this week. I got the impression that it is a common fault. I had to have the door lock replaced. I took out a Warranty Direct policy a few months ago and thankfully this was covered.
Mine behaved in a similar way. I could only use the button on the door to ensure that it was actually locked or would open. If I tried to use keyless, the door would mostly remain locked but the others would open. As you slide down the banister of life

Thanks Ave, good to know that similar symptoms were the actual lock - I had assumed electrical glitch as it was both at once.
